My Foundation year, though not quite how I picture it initially, has been such an eye-opening experience. Not only did I get to develop as an artist, the community that I've found here through other artists, faculty and friends is invaluable to me.

In this past year I've learned not to be afraid of change. Many times I'm not satisfied with my work, but am afraid to change it fearing I'll make it worse. After my first year at ECU, I'm learning to embrace fear and bravely go forward.
