Congratulations Foundation class of 2023! 

We’re thrilled to celebrate the vast array of creative endeavours and challenges you took on this year! It’s incredibly exciting to see the Foundation Show come together across campus and to see the range of your artistic and interdisciplinary explorations from the past year across a range of materials, concepts, approaches and subjects. I’m so impressed with your openness to experiment, your commitment to completing the work, and your deeply creative approaches through it all.  

The show would not be possible without the extensive efforts of the Foundation staff and faculty team, especially Gaye, Alex, Meghan, Mike, and Jeremy. I’m so grateful to everyone involved for creating such a vibrant exhibition and for making all of your work look so good.  

This is a moment to reflect and celebrate, even as you anticipate the coming excitements of your future in 2nd year and beyond. I wish you continued creative engagements and generative explorations in the coming years and I look forward to seeing you and your work continue to flourish in the years ahead.
