Congratulations, Foundation class of 2022!

We are so excited this year to celebrate you! This year, we are able to host our first in-person Foundation Show since the beginning of the global pandemic over two years ago. It is energizing to walk through the exhibition, and see the breadth of your artistic and interdisciplinary explorations from this past year, spanning a wide range of materials, approaches, ideas and subjects. I am inspired by your passion, your commitment, your inquisitiveness, and your creativity, all of which are evident throughout the MOBC gallery on campus and as well as on the pages of this virtual exhibition.  

My gratitude goes to the entire Foundation staff and faculty team – especially Gaye, Willow, Meghan, Mike, and Joe, as well as Kathy — for their ongoing support for all of you and their enormous efforts in putting together these exhibitions.

And I wish you all the best as you continue your journeys at Emily Carr, and look forward to seeing your work flourish and grow in the coming years.
