My first year at Emily Carr was a heck of a ride. Beginning each day by turning on a computer to attend class was a weird experience, and one that I will always remember. There were times where I felt demoralized but there was always that spark in me that helped me navigate the entire mess we're in. Next year, I wish to build on my first year experience and expect to do much better.

This first year left me with a sense of needing connection withing the campus. I learned how to check my privilege and how to be patient within an online environment so as to learn as much as possible from my fellow classmates.
