Shelf

Everyone in the class was given a wooden shelf, 7x24 inches. The task was to create an artwork that somehow included the shelf and used both 2D and 3D approaches. To get ideas started, students could choose one word as a point of departure: Overgrown, Remembered or Obsession.

However, due to the coronavirus outbreak, our project was disrupted near the beginning. Everyone had to re-imagine this project, using whatever materials were available from their home. Many were working under challenging conditions. Despite that, there were too many great solutions to include in the Foundation Show, but the following six show a variety of examples.
